Core took home the MVP for the Team South with a great performance on both sides of the ball, especially RB. Has great speed and vision along with ability to make defenders miss. Was very pivotal in allowing his team to move the chains on every drive, and led the South's explosive running attack. On defense, he had one of the games biggest highlights as he "de-cleated" an opposing RB.
The reigning NPFA Southwest Player of the Year gave another dominant performance, just like he did at the NPFA Clash of The Titans in January. Has an awesome work ethic and is addicted to the weight room, which is a great habit to have going into HS. The powerful back was great in short yardage and a load to bring down for not only the DBs once he reached the second level, but also a problem for the opposing LBs
Durham is a compact back with great vision. Has great patience and follows his blocks very well reminiscent of legend Emmitt Smith. Not only was he able to put up points on the offensive side of the ball, but he was able to help his team with great field position during special teams by punting & kicking.
Jutz won the QB' strongest arm competition by slinging the ball 50 yards. Performed very well during the All American Game and showed that he has the ability to scramble when the pocket breaks down, but still make accurate passes while on the move.
Cox has a quick first step and caused a lot of problems for the opposing QB coming off of the edge. Had 2 sacks and numerous hurries during the All American Game.
Flex won the Fastest Man Competition on the first day of practice. Played locked down corner on the opposing teams best receiver the majority of the game and didn't give up any passes, with the exception of a quick screen to his side. Finished the day with 3 deflections and a Pick 6 to end the game, and show why he is considered one of the best DBs in the 2020 class by many.
Boger was a constant deep threat during the All American Game. Was able to show off his speed & athleticism after catching a quick screen and making some big yards on his own.
Deuce was labeled has one of the fastest prospects coming into the All American Weekend, and was able to show it finishing 4th in the Fastest Man Competition. When Team North's passing attack started stalling, Dabney was able to make it happen on his own by taking a jet sweep, breaking a couple of tackles, blowing past the remaining defenders, and cruising to the end zone.
Lorenz won the Lineman Competition by using is size, strength, and speed to over-power opposing offensive lineman. Caused a major problem for the opposing teams offense by setting the edge and forcing them to run underneath him.
Gratteri plays with a chip on his shoulder. Has the passion for the game that coaches love, and a motor the doesn't stop. Gratteri was a constant force in the All American Game, but earned the respect from all of his peers before the game with his performance in the Lineman Challenge. Vince was a finalist for MVP of the Lineman Competition and had one of the biggest highlights of the day. Gratteri is definitely the kind of player that gets the defense "turned up" a'la Ray Lewis or Brian Dawkins.
Bobby showed why he is one of the Top prospects for the 2021 class. Played well at Safety and was force in stopping any possible deep threats for the opposing team. In contrast, he was a great deep threat on the opposite side of the ball for Team South scoring a TD in the back of the end zone by getting behind the defense.
Skyler was in on almost every tackle in the backfield for Team North. Sattizahn took advantage of the opposition's offense pulling their backside guard on several occasions and capitalized by making a huge play in the backfield. Skyler was a dominant force and earned the honor of the being the MVP of Team North, the first ever lineman in the series to earn such a distinction.
Dawkins played well as a strong side DE. Held the edge well for Team North and prevented RBs from getting to the outside.
Washington won the MVP for Team South with a stellar performance. 2TDs, over 100 yrds rushing, and a game sealing INT to lead his team to victory in a close battle. Washington's quickness , balance, and vision makes him a threat to take it to house on every touch.
Gatling had one of the most amazing performances for the All American Weekend. A pure all around athlete, Gatling won the Strongest Arm Competition the day before. At receiver, Gatling was unstoppable. Whether it was single or double coverage, Gatling couldn't be stopped and showed his ability as a deep threat and a sure handed receiver making catches across the middle. At defensive back, Gatling matched up with the opposition best receiver and had several deflections. Gatling earned the MVP for Team North finishing the day with over 120 receiving yards, a TD, & an interception.
Shelton has a skill set and arm power that is way beyond his years. Once you see this kid play, it doesn't take long to realize that he is something special. Makes great decisions with the ball and has the ability to pick apart defenses. In the 4th qtr of the game he was clutch, connecting with receiver Theo Sherrod for the winning score.
At already 6'1'' in the 6th grade, Sherrod is a match up problem for most defenses. Not only does Sherrod posses great size, but has the speed to match. Won the Fastest Man competition for his grade level. Showed that he is not only a deep threat, but has the ability to take a short pass and turn it into a long gain on his own. Made an amazing one- handed catch in the 4th qtr before out running defenders to the end zone for the winning TD. Also , showed that he was a good coverage DB by adding one interception to his stats.
Miller showed that he has a great combination of power and speed. Had several big carries for his team that help the move them down the field, including what would've been a game tying 40 yard TD...if not for a holding call taking points off of the board.
Murray played like a true field general. Showed that he is an amazing duel threat QB. Was able to connect with his receivers all over the field, and showed the ability to pull it down in run when called upon.
Park is a huge guy for his age and knows how to use his leverage to maximize his power. Clogged up the gaps on the defensive line & was awesome at opening holes for his ball carriers on the offensive side of the ball.
Hulse is a monster on the defensive line. When the opposing team stopped his offense with a goal line stand, Hulse stepped up the next following play. He blew up the play, by busting through the line causing a fumbled exchanged, and recovered the fumble for a TD.
Davis was one of the smaller guys in the game, but that didn't stop this Alabama RB from moving the chains. Davis is low to the ground and runs behind his line very well. Mix that with great field vision and a quick burst, and it shows why Davis was able to keep the chains moving (and prevent the Team North from getting the ball back) in the game's closing moments.
Mays looks and plays like a man amongst boys. Amazingly, he is only a rising 6th grader and still hasn't tapped into his full potential. Has an uncanny combination of size, power, & speed which allowed him to dominate the Lineman Challenge. Was a constant threat on defense because of his ability to over powering opposing lineman, along with his speed to chase down ball carriers.

THE NPFA ALL AMERICAN WILL BE UNDER FULL SWING AND WE LIKE TO PROVIDE SOME INSIGHT ON OUR KEY MATCHUPS. WE HAVE THE RISING FRESHMEN ALL AMERICAN GAME WHICH WILL FEATURE THE TOP RISING 8TH GRADERS IN FRESHMEN PROSPECTS IN THE COUNTRY, AS WELL AS OUR YOUTH 100 ALL AMERICAN GAME. WHICH IS COMPRISED OF THE NEXT GROUP PLAYERS IN GRADES 5TH THRU 7TH TO WATCH ON A NATIONAL LEVEL. WITH THE HELP OF SCOUTS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY, OUR NATIONAL SCOUT OREY FERRELL PROVIDES A BREAKDOWN THROUGH A COMBINATION OF FILM, COMBINE/ CAMP PERFORMANCE, AND IN-PERSON EVALUATION.
BOTH TEAMS HOST A STABLE OF DECENT QUATERBACKS. JOEY SCARABINO (6'2''' 190LBS) IS ONE OF THE QBS FROM TEAM NORTH TO WATCH. HE HAS GREAT STRENGTH, ATHLETICISM, AND IS AN EVEN BETTER LINEBACKER. SO YOU CAN IMAGINE THE FIERCENESS HE PLAYS WITH. ANDREW HECK (6' 160LBS) FROM N.J. & CHAD JONES FROM DELAWARE ARE BOTH ATHLETIC QBS WHO CAN HURT YOU ON THE GROUND OR IN THE AIR. TEAM SOUTH WILL HAVE 2X N.P.F.A ALL AMERICAN CASEY BLANKENSHIP (6'3'' 170LBS) FROM VIRGINIA CALLING SIGNALS FOR THEM THIS YEAR. LAST YEAR AS TEAM NORTH'S QB, BLANKENSHIP HAD A GREAT PERFORMANCE IN A GAME WHERE BOTH OFFENSES WERE ON FIRE. RISING 8TH GRADER DANTE MARSHALL (6'1'' 165LBS) FROM KENNESAW, GA LOOKED EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE DURING HIS COMBINE DEBUT AND ON FILM. MARSHALL HAS THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCE AND PLAYING STYLE OF CAM NEWTON. HIS ABILITY TO PULL THE BALL DOWN AND RUN HARD WILL BE PROBLEMATIC FOR THE OPPOSING DEFENSE. MIAMI'S KEMANI BROWN ,WHO WILL ALSO SEE TIME AS A DB, ROUNDS OUT THE TRIO OF TEAM SOUTH QBS.
ADVANTAGE- TEAM SOUTH. BLANKENSHIP'S EXPERIENCE & MARSHALL ATHLETICISM GIVES THEM THE EDGE
THE CEILING IS EXTREMELY HIGH ON ALL OF THESE YOUNG GUNSLINGERS. TEAM NORTH HOST A STABLE OF DUAL THREAT QBS, SOME OF WHOM WERE SELECTED SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THEIR ATHLETICISM AND ABILITY TO PLAY MULTIPLE POSITIONS. MARCUS STOKES (CROFTON, MD), IS THE YOUNGEST QB OUT OF THE PACK, BUT WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE. STOKES WON THE CAMP MVP IN BALTIMORE BY SHOWING A GREAT DEAL OF ARM STRENTGH AND ACCURACY. ON FILM, STOKES ALSO SHOWED HIS ABILITY TO MOVE OUTSIDE OF THE POCKET. BRETT GERLACH & HARRISON LAMAN FROM PA ALSO IMPRESSED AT CAMP. KYLEN AUSTIN & SHAJUAN RICE FROM BALTIMORE,MD ARE LISTED AS ATHLETES, BUT BOTH HAVE SUCCESFUL EXPERIENCE PLAYING QB. AUSTIN IS A LOCK DOWN DB, WHO HAS THE ABILITY TO HELP HIS TEAM AT A NUMBER OF POSITIONS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. TEAM SOUTH HAS SOUTH FLORIDA'S PETE ZAMORA. ZAMORA IS ONE OF THE TOP YOUNG QB'S IN THE REGION AND HAS TREMENDOUS ACCURACY. JORDAN BATTLES FROM SAN ANTONIO, TX HAS THE ABILITY TO TAKE OFF AND HURT DEFENSES WITH HIS LEGS. GABRIEL WARREN FROM MCKINNEY, TX IS ANOTHER DUAL THREAT QB WHO HAS GREAT SPEED, BUT CAN KILL YOU WITH HIS ARM.
ADVANTAGE- TEAM NORTH. THEY HAVE A YOUNG GROUP, BUT AUSTIN & RICE COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE WITH CREATIVE COACHING.
TEAM NORTH IS STACKED WITH SOME POWERFUL RUNNERS LIKE 2X N.P.F.A ALL AMERICAN ELIJAH GRAY & NAIM EL FROM NEW JERSEY. WHEN LET LOOSE, GRAY HAS A GREAT ABILITY TO MAKE DEFENDERS MISS. NAIM EL PHYSICALLY LOOKS LIKE A KID GOING INTO HIS LAST YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL INSTEAD OF MIDDLE SCHOOL. THOMAS MOSLEY & JAMES NAYLOR ARE A COUPLE OF SPEEDSTERS FROM DELAWARE. MOSLEY ESPECIALLY, HAS A "BOWLING BALL" STYLE SIMILIAR TO MAURICE JONES-DREW. HE ALSO RAN AN 4.9 ON A 40 DEGREE DAY IN MARCH, WHICH IS IMPRESSIVE. NOAH VAUGHN FROM PITTSBURGH, PA ROUNDS OUT THE GROUP AND IS A NATIONALLY KNOWN GAME BREAKER. THE NORTH WILL MEET UP WITH A NASTY GROUP OF LINEBACKERS ON TEAM SOUTH. VIC VEGA (ORLANDO, FL) IS A 2X N.P.F.A ALL AMERICAN AND A FLAT OUT BEAST! VEGA WAS FEATURED LAST YEAR ON ESPN IN A HIGHLIGHT WHERE HE ANTICIPATED THE QB SNAP AND JUMPED OVER THE CENTER TO MAKE THE TACKLE A'LA LAVAR ARRINGTON! SEAN WINSTON (DOUGLASVILLE, GA) IS ANOTHER 2X N.P.F.A ALL AMERICAN WITH SIZE AND GREAT SPEED. DEVIN DURHAM (KENNER, LA) ALSO LOOKED IMPRESSIVE IN CAMP. KEVIN CLARK (5'11'' 155LBS) FROM MT WASHINGTON, KY & CHARLES POLLOCK (6' 155LBS) FROM MARIETTA, GA HAVE THE VERSATILITY TO PLAY THE LB/ SS ROLE.
ADVANTAGE- EVEN- BOTH GROUPS HAVE GAME BREAKERS, BUT THE NORTH'S DEPTH COULD BE A DIFFERENCE IN THE 4TH QTR.
SPEED, SPEED, AND MORE SPEED. THE SOUTH RBS COULD DOUBLE AS A 4X1 RELAY TEAM. 3X N.P.F.A ALL AMERICAN LEXINGTON "FLEX" JOSEPH IS A SOUTH FLORIDA FOOTBALL LEGEND, WHO WON THE YOUTH 100 GAME MVP IN 2013. FLEX RAN A 4.6 AT OUR COMBINE IN MIAMI AND LOOKS READY FOR THE NEXT LEVEL. CHRIS TYREE (CHESTER, VA) IS OUR NATIONAL RB OF THE YEAR. HE AND DOVER, FL PRODUCT ZAMIR KNIGHTEN HAVE THE ABILITY TO TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT. THE AFORMENTIONED LB CORE OF VEGA, DURHAM , & WINSTON COULD SEE REPS IN THE BACKFIELD AS WELL. TO MATCHUP WITH SPEED THAT THE SOUTH HAS, THE NORTH HAS GREAT SIZE AT LB. JOEY SCARABINO (6'2'' 190LBS) FROM PENN. PLAYED IMPRESSIVE LAST WINTER IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP UPSETTING THEN #1 RANKED ORANGE, NJ AND GIVING EVENTUAL CHAMPION #1 MD SEAHAWKS ALL THEY COULD HANDLE. BROCK CONN (5'9'' 165) , ANOTHER PA NATIVE, COULD CAUSE ALOT OF PROBLEMS FOR THE OPPOSING BACKFIELD. DE'JON SMITH (5'10'' 155LBS) FROM INDIANAPOLIS IS AN ATHLETIC LB/ DE WHO RAN A 4.75 40. ELIJAH GRAY, WHILE NOT AS PHYSICALLY BIG AS HIS COUNTERPARTS, PLAYS JUST AS BIG. NAIM EL & BRUCE THOMPSON (6' 160) FROM NEW JERSEY, CHRIS KALAMBIHIS FROM JOPPA, MD, AHMAR COMER & DAVID HANCOCK WILL ROUND OUT A VERY TALENTED GROUP OF LBS
ADVANTAGE- TEAM NORTH---THESE ARE 2 OF THE BETTER GROUPS ON EACH TEAM. THIS IS NO EASY TASK. THE LB CORE WILL HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO KEEP FLEX, TYREE, KNIGHTEN AND CREW IN CHECK. THE DEPTH OF THE NORTH LBS WILL KEEP THEM FRESH THROUGHOUT THE GAME.
THE NORTH HAS A SOLID BACKFIELD WITH SEMAJ "BUMP" HENSON FROM BALTIMORE AS ONE OF THIER BALL CARRIERS. HENSON HAS A STYLE REMINISCENT OF EMMITT SMITH. HE HITS THE HOLE FAST AND HAS A GREAT ABILITY FOR MOVING FORWARD TO PICK UP YARDS. PAUL LEFKOWITZ FROM COLTS NECK, NJ IS A MAN-CHILD WHO COULD POSSIBLY DOMINATE THE GAME. THE NJ RB IS HAS GREAT SIZE AND SPEED, BUT CURRENTLY FLYING UNDER THE RADAR ON A NATIONAL LEVEL. LENNOX JACKSON FROM LOUISVILLE, KY IS GAME BREAKER AND THREAT TO SCORE ANYTIME HE TOUCHES THE BALL. KEYONTAE WILLIAMS FROM BALTIMORE & PATRICK SMITH FROM EGG HARBOR, NJ ARE 2 OTHER BACKS WHO COULD CONTRIBUTE. THE SOUTH LB CORE WILL HAVE TERIAN WILLIAMS FROM HAMPTON, GA WHO HAS A GOOD COMBINATION OF SIZE AND SPEED TO RUN STOP AND PLAY PASS COVERAGE. JASE MCCULLOUGH FROM MARIETTA, GA, DEION LUCAS, CORDE ST. LOUIS FROM MIAMI, FL, & KENDRICK JOYNER FROM CAROLINA ARE 3 OTHER PURER LINE BACKERS THAT HAVE THE SIZE TO HELP OUT INSIDE. THE OUTSIDE MAY BE PROTECTED BY HYBRID DBs LIKE FLORIDA'S NATHANIEL JOSEPH , JAYLEN CHANDLER, & RYAN GREEN FROM ATLANTA WHOSE SPEED MAY PREVENT ANY PLAYS FROM MAKING IT OUTSIDE.
ADVANTAGE- EVEN--THE COMBINATION LEFKOWITZ, HENSON, JACKSON, ALONG WITH OTHERS MAY BE TOO MUCH FOR THE TRUE LB CORE TO HANDLE INSIDE THE TACKLES. HOWEVER, THE ASISTANCE OF ATHLETIC DB'S MAY NEUTRALIZE THE RUSHING ATTACK.
THE SOUTH HAS A LARGE STABLE OF ATHLETES WHO CAN PLAY AT RB OR RECEIVER. THE BIGGEST TASK FOR THE COACHING STAFF WILL BE HOW TO UTILIZE OF THE TALENT. 2X N.PF.A. ALL AMERICAN JALEN GUMMER (ORLANDO, FL) IS AN EXTREMELY ELUSIVE HUMAN HIGHLIGHT FILM. JAYLEN CHANDLER FROM MIAMI, FL LOOKED GREAT AT CAMP AND IS A KNOWN PLAYMAKER IN SOUTH FLORIDA. RYAN NOLAN FROM GAINESVILLE, FL, ANTONYO WILLIAMS, & RYAN GREEN ARE JUST COUPLE OF THE GUYS WHO WILL SEE CARRIES OUT OF THE BACKFIELD. OTHER ATHLETES COULD BE WORKED INTO OTHER ROLES AS SLOT AND RECEIVER. TEAM NORTH'S LINEBACKERS WILL BE THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE DEFENSE. BROTHERS MICHAEL AND GABE JOHNSON (REISTERSTOWN, MD) ARE TEXAS IMPLANTS MAKING BIG NOISE IN MD. MICHAEL HAS A PLAY STYLE AND ENERGY SIMILIAR TO RAY LEWIS ON THE FIELD. PAUL LEFKOWITZ CLOSES IN ON BALL CARRIERS LIKE A YOUNG BRIAN URLACHER. YOUNGER LBs KEYONTAE WILLIAMS AND TAY APPLEWHAITE (BALT., MD) ARE A THE NEXT WAVE OF PLAYERS WHO NAMES WE WILL BECOME FAMILIAR WITH.
ADVANTAGE- TEAM NORTH--THE JOHNSON BROTHERS AND LEFKOWITZ MAY OWN EVERTHING INSIDE THE BOX, BUT WILL NEED HELP ON THE EDGES. THESE ARE 2 OF THE BETTER GROUPS ON EACH TEAM SO IT WILL BE AN AWESOME MATCHUP.
THE NORTH HAS A STRONG RECEIVING CORE WITH A GROUP OF RECEIVERS WHO CAN STRETCH THE FIELD LIKE DE"JON SMITH (4.75 40), 3X N.P.F.A ALL AMERICAN KAI "FLEX" FERRELL FROM OWINGS MILLS, MD (4.78 40), LAEL WARREN (4.91 40) FROM INDIANAPOLIS, IN AND NICK WESTBURG (5'11'' 155LBS) FROM PA. THE RECEIVEING CORE WIL BE HURT BY THE RECENT INJURY OF BMORE'S AAMIR HALL, BUT SPEEDY RB/ RECEIVERS LIKE POCONO PINES, PA'S KALEB MONACO & BRIDGEPORT, PA AHMAD STONE ALSO HAVE THE ABILITY TO MAKE PLAYS. THE SOUTH DBs ARE LOADED WITH TALEN 2X N.P.F.A ALL AMERICAN DONALD CLAY FROM NEW ORLEANS, LA IS ONE OF THE TOP DBs IN THE COUNTRY FOR HIS CLASS. FLEX JOSEPH HAD A DOMINANT PERFORMANCE WHILE SEEING MAINLY ACTION AS DB IN LAST YEAR'S ALL AMERICAN GAME. BEN ONWUZO (5'10'' 150LBS) IS A GREAT COVER CORNER WHO RAN A 4.64 40 AT CAMP. ETHAN WEST (6' 155LBS) FROM HOUSTON, TX RAN A 4.78 IN CAMP IN LOOKED EQUALLY IMPRESSIVE. CHRIS TYREE RAN A 4.74 40, AND HE ALONG WITH ASANTE DAS (ACWORTH ,GA), KEMANI BROWN, ZAMIR KNIGHTEN, EMON HILL, & DETRICK TROTTER (LOUISVILLE, KY) WILL LOOK TO CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR THE OFFENSIVE PASSING ATTACK.
ADVANTAGE- TEAM SOUTH- THE CAST OF RECEIVERS ON TEAM NORTH ARE EXTREMELY TALENTED, BUT THE DEPTH AT DB FOR THE SOUTH GIVES THEM THE EDGE.
THE SOUTH HAS A STRONG GROUP OF RECEIVERS. BIG TARGETS LIKE BEN ONWUZO, KEVIN CLARK, & CHARLES POLLOCK COULD CAUSE MATCHUP PROBLEMS. SPEEDSTERS LIKE ASANTE DAS, EMON HILL, DONALD CLAY, DETRICK TROTTER, ETHAN WEST, AMANTE EVANS WILL ALSO HAD TO THE ROTATION. IF YOU MIX ALL OF THAT IN WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF THE VERY TALENTED SOUTH BACKFIELD SNEAKING A COUPLE OF GUYS IN AT SLOT, AND YOU HAVE AN EXPLOSIVE COMBINATION ON YOUR HANDS. TEAM NORTH'S DBs WILL BE READY FOR THE TEST. KAI "FLEX" FERRELL LOCKS DOWN ONE HALF OF THE FIELD AT CORNER IN PASS AND RUN SUPPORT. RAY SIMON (WASHINGTON, DC 4.8 40 YARD DASH) & LAEL WARREN (INDIANAPOLIS, IN 4.91 40) ARE ABLE TO COVER AND RUN WITH THE BEST OF THEM. NICK WESTBURG HAS GOOD HEIGHT (5'11'') AND CAN JUMP. MAXWELL JOHNSON, LEROY LYNCH, & 2X NPFA ALL AMERICAN JAMES NAYLOR FROM (WILINGTON, DE) AREN'T STRANGERS TO COVERING HIGH LEVEL COMPETITION. KALEB MONACO & AHMAD STONE ALSO CAN BALL .
ADVANTAGE- TEAM SOUTH- THE MATCHUP FAVORS TEAM NORTH FOR THE START OF THE GAME, BUT THE DEPTH OF THE SOUTH RECEIVERS MIXED WITH THE NUMBER OF VERSATILE RBs MAY BE TOO MUCH TO HANDLE.
TEAM NORTH ISN'T LOADED WITH RECEIVERS, BUT HAVE NUMBER OF ATHLETES WHO CAN CONTRIBUTE. BRYCE YATES (LOUISVILLE, KY) IS A BIG TIME RECEIVER WHO WILL BE LOOKING TO MAKE A MARK. YATES WON THE MVP AT OUR LOUISVILLE COMBINE. CHRIS WHITTINGTON, ALSO FROM LOUISVILLE, WAS ALSO VERY IMPRESSIVE DURING HIS CAMP DEBUT AND LOOKED GREAT ON FILM. ATHLETES KYLEN AUSTIN & SHAJUAN RICE ARE SIMPLY ELECTRICFYING AND BIG PLAYMAKERS WITH THE BALL IN THEIR HANDS. THE SOUTH DOESN'T HAVE THE SIZE OF THE NORTH, BUT THEY ARE EXTREMELY DEEP WITH ATHLETES. JALEN GUMMER IS STARTING TO SEPERATE HIMSELF FROM OTHER DBs AROUND THE COUNTRY. JORDAN BATTLES COULD SEE DOUBLE DUTY ON DEFENSE, AND HAS THE ABILITY TO MAKE PLAYS FROM THAT SIDE OF THE BALL AS WELL. FATIR MUHAMMAD (MARIETTA, GA), RYAN NOLAN, RYAN GREEN, JAYLEN CHANDLER, NATHANIEL JOSEPH, JOSH KICAK ALL HAVE THE SPEED TO COVER.
ADVANTAGE- TEAM SOUTH- YATES, WHITTINGTON, & AUSTIN CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR ANY DEFENSE, BUT THE SOUTH IS LOADED WITH AN EXTREMELY TALENTED DEFENSIVE BACKFIELD.
TEAM SOUTH HAS A CAST OF ATHLETES THAT WHO CAN CONTRIBUTE AT MULTIPLE POSITIONS. JERIMAIYA MITCHELL (MIAMI, FL) HAS GREAT HANDS AND COULD PRVE TO BE A VALUABLE TARGET FOR HIS QB. RYAN NOLAN (GAINESVILLE, FL), ANTONYO WILLIAMS, FATIR MUHAMMAD, MILES BEATY, ARE JUST COUPLE OF THE ATHLETES THAT THE SOUTH CAN MOVE AROUND TO CREATE A POSSIBLE MIS-MATCH. TEAM NORTH HAS THE WEAPONS TO POSSIBLY FORCE THE SOUTH INTO PREDICTABLE PASSING SITUATIONS. KYLEN AUSTIN IS A BALL HAWK AND WILL CAPITALIZE ON ANY MISTAKE THAT TE QB MAKES. SEMAJ HENSON IS A TOUGH CORNER WHO HAS THE PHYSICALITY TO PLAY SAFETY OR IN THE BOX. HYBRID LB/ DB TAY APPLEWHAITE AND KEYONTAE WILLIAMS COULD SEE TIME IN THE DEFENSIVE BACK FIELD. SHAJUAN RICE, BRYCE YATES, LENNOX JACKSON, & CHRIS WHITTINGTON ARE ALL DANGEROUS GUYS TO THROW AT.
ADVANTAGE- TEAM NORTH -THIS GROUP OF DBs ON TEAM NORTH MAY CAUSE THE SOUTH SOME COSTLY TURNOVERS.
TEAM NORTH HAS A STRONG CAST AT LINE STARTING WITH COLE LABOSSIERE (6'1'' 265LB SPOTSYLVANIA, VA). COLE LOOKED GREAT AT CAMP AND HAS HIGHLIGHT FILM FULL OF PANCAKES. TRENT PAYLOR (BIG COVE TAMMERY, PA) & DERONTE SMITH (INDIANAPOLIS, IN) BOTH LOOKED GREAT AT CVAMP AND SHOWED A GREAT DEAL OF ATHLETICISM. ANTHONY HAWLER & WAVERLY DEBRAUX FROM WILMINGTON, DE WILL LOOK TO CONTRIBUTE, AS WELL AS MICHAEL & GABRIEL JOHNSON. TEAM SOUTH HAS A COUPLE OF DEFENSIVE ENDS WHO MAY GIVE THE QB NIGHTMARES. ZACH NATT (HOUSTON, TX) HAS A MOTOR THAT DOESN'T QUIT. ELIEZER CARTAYA (6'2'' 225 ORLANDO, FL) HAS A GREAT FIRST STEP WHO WILL OFFENSIVE TACKLES A PROBLEM TO KEEP UP WITH. ROBERT HARBOR (6'225 RICHMOND, TX) & KADE BRYANT (6' 270LBS ORLANDO, FL) HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO EAT EVERY RUN INSIDE. GUNNAR FRANEK (HOUSTON, TX), GIL DUNCAN (NEWNAN, GA), & BUCK LANGENDORFER (ARCHDALE, NC) ROUND OUT A GROUP THAT COULD DOMINATE THE GAME.
ADVANTAGE- TEAM SOUTH- THE SOUTH HAS THE DEPTH AND SIZE TO MAKE AN IMPACT ON THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME.
TEAM SOUTH HAS GREAT SIZE ACROSS THE OFFENSIVE LINE. ROBERT HARBOR, KADE BYRANT, ELIEZER CARTAYA, GUNNAR FRANEK, GIL DUNCAN, & BUCK LAGENDORFER ALL HAVE THE ABILITY TO CONTROL THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE. TEAM NORTH HAS SPEED ON THEIR SIDE AND COULD GET CREATIVE BY MOVING THE LIKES OF LB/ DE DE'JON SMITH IN THE BOX. DERONTE SMITH COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS RUSHING OFF OF THE OTHER EDGE, MEANWHILE LABOSSIERE COULD PROVIDE AS STOUT RUN STOPPER IN THE MIDDLE.
ADVANTAGE- TEAM SOUTH- THE SOUTH HAS THE SIZE AND DEPTH HERE, BUT LOOK FOR THE NORTH TO DO SOMETHING CREATIVE DEFENSIVBELY TO COMPENSATE FOR THE LACK OF DEPTH AT THE POSITION.
THE YOUTH LINEMEN WILL BE A GREAT MATCHUP ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL AND ULTIMATELY DECIDE THE GAME. NATHAN HOLLINGER AND HUNTER THOMPSON ARE BOTH 2X ALL AMERICANS FROM PA. THEY WILL JOIN UP WITH GARRET LABOSSIERE FROM SPOTSYVANIA, VA AND DANIEL GRAY FROM INDIANAPOLIS, IN. MICHAEL AND GABRIEL JOHNSON WILL ROUND OUT THE GROUP WHO CAN PROVIDE STRONG RUN BLOCKING AND GREAT PASS PROTECTION. TEAM SOUTH HAS GREAT SIZE AT THE POSITION WITH SHOMARI ROBINSON READY TO CLOG THE MIDDLE AND JAHARI CLEMONS WHO LOOKS LIKE A YOUNG WARREN SAPP. DRAKE HATCHER AND AUSTIN MINCEY WILL BE VALUABLE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL AND ADD TO A GROUP WHO CAN DICTATE THE PACE OF THE GAME. DEION LUCAS & JASE MCULLOUGH MAY SEE ACTION IN THE TRENCHES AS WELL.

ALBERT HAD AN IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE DURING THE ALL AMERICAN WEEKEND THAT STARTED OFF WITH HIM WINNING THE FASTEST MAN COMPETITION WITH AN AMAZING 4.48 IN THE 40 YARD DASH. THE LOUISIANA RB DIDN'T STOP THERE. ALBERT EXPLODED FOR 174 RUSHING YARDS AND 2 TDS TO LITERALLY RUN AWAY WITH THE GAME MVP. THE RISING FRESHMEN DISPLAYED THE TALENT TO PUSH FOR A VARSITY STARTING JOB AT JOHN CURTIS H.S. IN NOLA. THIS KID DISPLAYED ALL THE INTANGABLES YOU LOOK FOR IN A TOP NOTCH RB; VISION (CHECK), BALANCE (CHECK), SPEED (CHECK)--BREAK AWAY AT THAT, POWER (CHECK), FEARLESSNESS (CHECK).
THIS KID IS THE TOTAL PACKAGE! TYREE EARNED THE FASTEST MAN TITLE BY WINING THE COMPETITION FOR THE YOUTH 100 ALL AMERICANS, BUT HIS SPEED WANT JUST LIMITED TO RACING IN SHORTS. TYREE SHOWED AN EXPLOSIVE BURST THAT WASN'T MATCHED BY ANY OTHER COMPETITIOR ON THE FIELD. WHEN HE RAN, IT LOOKED AS IF EVERYONE ELSE WAS IN SLOW MOTION COMPARED TO HIM. BROKE FOR A 50 YARD TD IN WHCIH HE EASILY PULLED AWAY FROM ANY POSSIBLE DEFENDERS. PLAYED WITH THE SAME SPEED AND FIERCENESS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BALL, AS TYREE WAS ALSO ALL OVER THE PLACE ON DEFENSE.
SIMPLY PUT, THIS IS YOUTH FOOTBALL'S VERSION OF DETRIOT LIONS' SUPERSTAR DEFENSIVE LINEMAN NDAMUKONG SUH. LOWRY CLOGS UP HOLES ON THE DEFENSIVE LINE, APPLIES PRESSURE IN THE PASS RUSH, & IS A LEADER ON THE FIELD.
GUMMER, WHO WAS ONE OF THE YOUNGEST PARTICIPANTS, SHOWED THAT HE HAD WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPETE AGAINST THE BEST. SHOWING OFF HIS SPEED AND AN ELUSIVE RUNNING STYLE, GUMMER CAN BE COMPARED TO EAGLES RB SHADY MCCOY.

Rising Freshman All American Game
By Eric Ikpe
North Miami - The NPFA (National Prep & Youth Football Association) held their inaugural Rising Freshmen All American game this past Saturday at F.I.U Biscayne Campus.
The game featured the nation's top 7th and 8th grade football players who traveled from New Jersey to California and competed against one another in the game of future High school superstars and NCAA prospects. The North team was head coached by Kerry Galloway and the South team was head coached by Eddie Alford of Miami Pop Warner.
Right out the game, the North team scored first on a New Jersey connection from Quarterback D'Andre Blue-Eli (Turnersville, NJ) to J.P. Roane (Williamtown, NJ) to take a 6-0 lead in the first.
The South team attempted to respond, but Josh McKenzie (Wall, NJ) alongside others stopped any momentum from happening midway through the first quarter. The South team did not let up, by driving the ball down to the 1-yard line with a big run from Terrell Powell (Tallahassee, Fl). On the next possession Auz Seifert (Youngstown, OH) plunged his way in the end zone to tie the game.
At the start of the second quarter, the North team made strides to take the lead, but came up short behind a strong defense led by the South Team’s all-star, Terrell Powell. The North team was determined to take the lead before half and they did behind D'Andre Blue-Eli who dove in from the 5 yard line. On the ensuing drive, the South teams was close to striking back, but turnover the ball on a fumble which was recovered by the North’s defensive player, Donnell Henriquez (Newark, DE).
At the start of the 3rd, the South team evens the score behind a touchdown strike from Chase Owens (Johns' Creek, GA) to Elijah Beamer (Mint Hill, NC). The North team was unable to respond and was held up by the strong defensive until up front.
As time was winding down and it seemed as if the game was going into overtime, the South team scored on a huge run by Terrell Powell to take the lead 19-13. On the next possession, D'Andre Blue-Eli threw a game-deciding interception to Terrell Powell which sealed the game.
"It was a great turnout, and these guys played well.” Director Orey Ferrell said, "This is just the beginning for these kids; the sky is the limit."
The MVP of the game was Terrell Powell who was humbled for the award.
"I just played hard, and we were determined not to give up," he said. "This was a battle and we knew it would not be easy.”
This was a great showcase of the rising freshmen; this game will only continue to grow bigger and better each year. We look forward to evaluating some exceptional talent through this platform for years to come.
POWELL EARNED GAME MVP WITH A BIG 4TH QTR PERFORMANCE. THE OFFENSE FED HIM LIKE A WORK HORSE & IT PAID OFF, WITH POWELL SCORING THE GAME WINNING TD FOR THE SOUTH. IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH, HE PUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE BY SEALING THE VICTORY WITH A INTERCEPTION THAT DESTROYED ANY HOPES OF THE NORTH TEAM HAD OF RALLYING.
ROANE NEVER CEASED TO AMAZE. THE SPEEDY NJ RECEIVER CAME WITH A LARGE FAN BASE FROM HIS HOME TOWN & QUIETLY STARTED HIS CLAIM FRIDAY AT THE FASTEST MAN COMPETITION BY BEATING FAVORED RB CHAUNCEY SMART (WHO RAN A HAND TIMED 4.37 PREVIOUSLY). SATURDAY WASN'T ANY DIFFERENT. WHILE A POLITE & WELL MANERED KID OF THE FIELD, J.P. LETS HIS PLAY SPEAK FOR ITSELF & IT SPOKE VOLUMES GAME DAY. ROANE IS A THREAT EVERTIME HE TOUCHES THE BALL AND THAT WAS SHOWN ON THE NORTH'S FIRST POSSESION WITH A AN ACROBATIC TD CATCH FROM QB BLUE-ELI IN THE BACK OF THE ENDZONE. ROANE ALSO HAD A BIG RECEPTION OFF OF A TIPPED PASS THAT PUT THE OFFENSE BACK INSIDE THE RED ZONE LATER IN THE FIRST HALF. TOP IT ALL OFF WITH A COUPLE OF HUGE KICK RETURNS, AND YOU HAVE A MAGNIFICENT SHOWING ON A BIG STAGE.
KARON DELINCE IS A BIG PLAYMAKE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. IS EXTREMELY FAST & A NIGHTMARE FOR DB'S AS HE MADE SEVERAL HUGE CATCHES FOR THE SOUTH TEAM. NOT ONLY WAS HE ABLE TO GET BEHIND THE DEFENDERS CONSISTENTLY, BUT SHOWED AN AMAZING ABILITY TO LEAP OVER DB'S & SNATCH THE BALL OUT OF THE AIR. NOT ONLY WAS HE ABLE TO DO THIS ON OFFENSE, BUT MADE AN OUTSTANDING INTERCEPTION IN THE BACK OF THE ENDZONE EARLY IN THE GAME THAT WAS CALLED "OUT-OF-BOUNDS" BY THE CLOSEST OFFICIAL.
LEDDIE WAS ONE OF THE YOUNGER GUYS PLAYING IN THE GAME, BUT YOU WOULDN'T KNOW IT BY HIS PHYSICAL DOMINANCE. AT TIMES LEDDIE RAN LIKE A MAN POSSESED RUNNING THROUGH WOULD-BE TACKLERS & REFUSING TO GO DOWN. STANDING 6'1'' 175LB & WITH A FRAME LIKE ADRIEN PETERSON, IT OFTEN TOOK 2 TO 3 GUYS TO BRING HIM TO THE GROUND. ON DEFENSE HIS SHOWED HIS PHYSICALITY BY PUNISHING BALL CARRIERS AT WITH MENANCING HITS. THE RISING 8TH GRADER PLAYED SO WELL THE WELL KNOWN SOUTH FLORIDA RECRUITER LARRY BLUSTEIN LEFT THE STADIUM SAYING " THAT LEDDIE BROWN IS A GROWN MAN!"
JAMISON HARRISON IS A SPECIAL PLAYER. IT'S NOT MANY TIMES THAT YOU WITNESS A DEFENSIVE PLAYER DOMINATING A GAME, BUT HARRISON WAS ABLE TO DO SO FOR THE NORTH. WHATS EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE IS THAT HE PLAYED SHUTDOWN COVERAGE ALL DAY LONG, AND WAS ALSO DOMINATE IN RUN SUPPORT. ITS RARE YOU SEE A DB THAT LOCK HIS MAN DOWN, READ THE PLAY QUICKLY, & HAVE THE SPEED TO MAKE THE TACKLE BEHIND THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.
BIG AUZ SEIFERT RAN THE BALL WITH AUTHORITY & PUNISHED THE NORTH'S DEFENSE ON EVERY CARRY. AUZ PERFORMANCE WAS DOMINANT ON THE DEFENSIVE SIDE OF THE BALL. HE & MICHAEL CREWE KEPT QB BLUE-ELI UNDER PRESSURE THE ENTIRE GAME. SEIFERT MIX OF POWER AND SPEED HAD HIM THE BACKFIELD AT TIMES BEFORE THE QB COULD HAND-OFF TO THE WOULD-BE BALL CARRIER.
BLUE-ELI MADE A NAME FOR HIMSELF AT THE ALL AMERICAN GAME BY TAKING A STRONG HOLD OF THE OFFENSE. ON THE FIRST POSSESSION HE CONNECTED WITH THE SPEEDY J.P. ROANE & PUT PRESSURE ON THE SOUTH TEAM TO ANSWER. BLUE-ELI (WHO CAN EASILY THROW THE BALL 70 YRDS) NOT ONLY MADE DEFENSES FEAR HIS ARM, BUT MADE PLENTY OF PLAYS WITH HIS FEET. THE SOUTH'S DEFENSIVE LINE KEPT D'ANDRE UNDER PRESSURE , BUT IT OFTEN BACKFIRED FOR THE SOUTH AS THE NEW JERSEY QB ALWAYS SEEMED TO PULL A "WHOODINI" BY ESCAPING AND SCAMPERING FOR A 1ST DOWN.
CHASE OWENS LED HIS 7V7 TEAM TO VICTORIES AT THE NPFA'S ATLANTA COMBINE BY CONTINOUSLY CONNECTING TO ALABAMA SPEEDSTER KARON DELINCE (WHO WON CAMP MVP). FAST FORWARD A FEW MONTHS LATER AND THE GEORGIA/ ALABAMA CONNECTION WAS BACK AT IT. OWENS KEPT A VETERAN COOLNESS IN THE POCKET & WAS ABLE TO SCRAMBLE ON A COUPLE OF 4TH DOWNS TO KEEP THE CHAINS MOVING IN THE SOUTH'S GAME WINNING DRIVE.
MICHAEL CREWE WAS A SUPERIOR FORCE ON THE DEFENSIVE LINE THAT KEPT NORTH QB BLUE-ELI ON THE RUN ALL GAME LONG. HE & SEIFERT ON THE DEFENSIVE LINE AT THE SAME TIME PROVED TO BE TOO MUCH OF A MISMATCH FOR THE NORTH'S O-LINE TO HANDLE.
MCKENZIE IS A GAMER! PLAYED VERY WELL AT LB FOR THE NORTH'S TEAM, BUT WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE IN THE 2ND HALF AT RB. PROVIDED A SPARK IN THE RUNNING GAME FOR THE NORTH WITH HIS QUICK - SLASHER STYLE OF RUNNING.
JAY'JUAN HAS BEEN KNOWN AS "THE GOOCH", A NICKNAME DERIVED FROM THE FICTIONAL BULLY IN THE 70'S/ 80'S TV SHOW DIFFERENT STROKES. JONES PLAYS LINEBACKER WITH PASSION SIMILIAR TO ANOTHER GREAT #52. HE WAS ABLE TO COVER THE FIELD FROM SIDELINE TO SIDELINE WHILE ALSO PLUGGING UP HOLES IN THE RUNNING GAME.
FLEX RUNS LIKE A PLAYER FAR BEYOND HIS YEARS. NOT ONLY DID HE WIN THE FASTEST MAN COMPETITION FOR THE YOUTH 100 GAME BY A LAND SLIDE, BUT HE HAS AMAZING VISION TO GO ALONG WITH HIS SPEED. EARLIER THIS YEAR AT THE NPFA MIAMI COMBINE, FLEX WAS FOUND OF TO THE SIDE DOING SIT-UPS BY HIMSELF IN BETWEEN DRILLS. THIS KID HAS A GREAT ATTITUDE, WORK ETHIC, & SKILL SET; WHICH EQUALS AN AMAZING PLAYER. HIS MVP PERFORMANCE IN THE YOUTH 100 ALL AMERICAN GAME WAS SO DOMINATE THAT IT CAUGHT THE ATTENTION OF MULTI-PLATINUM RECORDING ARTIST & FYFL CHAIRMAN FLO RIDA.
JOSH IS A HUMAN HIGHLIGHT REEL! EVERYTIME HE TOUCHED THE BALL HE WAS A THREAT TO SCORE. PLAY AFTER PLAY HIS COMBINATION ELUSIVENESS & SPEED LED TO BIG GAINS AND EMBARASSED THE OPPISITION.
COSTOPOULOS IS QIUET RESERVED KID OFF THE FIELD, BUT PLAYED BIG TIME ON THE FIELD. BIG RECEIVER WITH GREAT HANDS WHO SCORED THE NORTH'S ONLY TD, AND IS A PUNISHING LB ON DEFENSE THAT MADE SEVERAL BIG PLAYS IN THE SOUTH'S BACKFIELD.
GEORGE IS BIG STRONG KID WHO WAS AN UNSTOPPABLE FORCE ON DEFENSE. HE & COSTOPOULOS SHOWED WHY PENNSYLVANIA HAS A FAMED HISTORY OF GREAT LINEBACKERS. THE NE DFO COMBINED FOR MULTIPLE TACKLES IN THE BACKFIELD PLAY AFTER PLAY.
RATHCKE IS A BIG KID, ALREADY STANDING OVER 6 FOOT, WITH GREAT STRENGTH & TECHNIQUE. TOTALLY DOMINATED THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE ON EVERY PLAY BY OPENING HOLES FOR BACKS.
STATON PLAYED GREAT. THE COMBINATION OF HE, DYLAN RATCHKE, GIL DUNCAN, CHILTON TOLLIVER, & KADE BRYANT WERE EXTREMELY DOMINATE AND CONTROL THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE THE ENTIRE GAME.
LLOYD IS A BIG QB WITH GREAT SPEED. FINISHED IN THE TOP 3 FOR THE FASTEST MAN COMPETITION FOR THE YOUTH 100 ALL AMERICAN GAME. THE COMBINATION OF SIZE, POWER, & SPEED MAKES LLOYD VERY DIFFICULT TO DEFEND FOR OPPOSING DEFENSES.
KAI HAS GREAT HAND FOR A KID HIS AGE & THE ABILITY TO GET UPFIELD AFTER THE CATCH. NOT ONLY IS HE A SURE HANDED RECEIVER, BUT ALSO PLAYED LOCK DOWN CORNER BY PREVENTING ANY PASSES ON HIS SIDE OF THE FIELD & HELPING OUT IN RUN COVERAGE WITH A COUPLE OF SOLO TACKLES.
STOCKDALE, ONE OF THE YOUNGER ATHLETES PLAYING IN THE ALL AMERICAN GAME, WAS ABLE TO PLAY BIG. PLAYED VERY WELL ON DEFENSE & SHOWED HIS ATHLETICISM BY MOVING AROUND ON THE OFFENSIVE SIDE OF THE BALL FROM QB TO WR.
THE 'BAMA RB RAN LIKE A MAN ON A MISSION. SPIVEY IS A BIG BACK WHO IS HARD TO BRING DOWN AND PUNISHES DEFENDERS BY PUTTING HIS SHOULDER DOWN TO DELIVER THE BLOW BEFORE THEY DO.
